We saw the shark movie UNDER PARIS last week and ranked it #2 out of the 161 shark movies we've seen in the last 4 years. Think we were getting soft? We just saw SPACE SHARKS. It's a miserable #159/162, and it's damn lucky it's not lower. Eric Roberts gets top billing. He's in it for 35 seconds.

I remember when Trump was defeated, seeing people non violently celebrating in the streets and I remember the cops, especially NYPD, crying. You should remember this too. You should REALLY remember this.

Okay so to be clear we are destroying power grids, the livelihoods of actual humans beings, and communication/research infrastructure for the sake of an algorithm that converts stolen data into unreliable stolen data and consistently loses millions of dollars. Just to be clear

Fr ever since Adobe announced AI training I’ve been so lost how studios weren’t immediately up in arms over cloud storage and NDA projects that would ultimately make it into data. Of course they always like to thread the needle of screwing over artists/job replacement so part of me isn’t surprised

Whenever I hear about AI tech that is actually a bunch of underpaid people in a global south country doing the work, it reminds me of that Rick and Morty episode where the ship battery is actually a microverse of aliens pedaling away to generate electricity

Books designed to be read only by human eyes are different from books designed to be read by machines, which is why Google will tell you that the phrase “shake my booty” can be found in an 1863 English translation of Don Quixote.

Dune campaign planning continues. One of my players wants to play a Mentat called Benny Jesserit. 🤦‍♂️😅 With that and then wanting to call their house "House Haus" it's going to be "Carry On Arrakis" isn't it? Or "Terry and Dune". #grogsquad

“Do not use your phone to answer phone calls” is not advice as much as it’s a condemnation of regulatory inaction that has led a vital means of communication to ruin.
The first rule of avoiding scam calls is to never answer unknown numbers, and even some known ones. Curious? Bored? Worried it’s an emergency? Wait the extra minute it takes for the call to go to voice mail, then decide if it’s legitimate.
Sick of scams? Stop answering your phone.www.washingtonpost.com Phone scams are still hugely popular — and they depend entirely on people curious enough to answer.

i think we should stop giving our ai bots female names (alexa, siri) and give them names from the old white boys club (john, james, chad) in honor of how overconfident and annoying they are even when they’re completely wrong or making stuff up
