And given Morehouse's stature as an HBCU, if they can normalize this AI shit there, they can normalize it at all HBCUs. This is very specifically an antiblack educational policy and has to be addressed as such.

This is the vital, masculine, “anti-woke” nation led by an admirably virile leader that is favored by our “America First” conservatives like Tucker Carlson and Donald Trump,

This all becomes very evident when you read a paper by a lawyer on a historical topic. Context be damned, they go for accumulating a pile of quotes that support their argument, regardless if the people they're quoting violently disagreed with them Let's get some historians on SCOTUS
These mistakes originalist justices are making aren’t about disputed interpretations of history, with evidence on both sides. They’re pulling quotes out of context to attribute ideas to founding figures that those figures adamantly opposed. (via @andycraig.bsky.social) reason.com/volokh/2024/...

The Supreme Court is stealing American democracy. One of the very basic steps we must take to fix the Court and the country is this: Get Democratic elites to recognize that GEORGE W BUSH IS NOT ON OUR SIDE. Bush is on the pro-fascism side.

I once wrote a fact check of a Morgan Spurlock book. He included what he said was a direct quote from the FDA that aspartame causes cancer. I checked the footnote. An FDA newsletter did publish that claim — but *only to specifically refute it*. That’s basically how Barrett quotes Madison here.

if only there was a word for "displacing" an "entire population" of people using "military ground operations"
Nearly 2 million people have been displaced in Gaza – almost the entire population – after the Israeli military last week ordered a further 80,000 people to evacuate parts of Gaza City amid a renewed ground operation, the latest UN figures show.

Artificial scarcity is an existential part of the Republican Party. Convince the working classes they must fight each other for pieces of the needlessly-small pie, while the GOP gets busy cutting taxes & creating new subsidies for billionaires.

This is super important work. And it looks like it's actually having an effect. Normal people learn about Project 2025 and are scared as shitless as they should be. The Nation, The New Republic, Rolling Stone, Boston Review and others are doing the work that NYT and WaPo are neglecting.
We need more, but credit where due: both The Nation (June 2024 issue) and Boston Review have run a breakdown of the Project 2025 “Mandate for Leadership” document. Media Matters, too. Lots of good work going on digesting this. www.bostonreview.net/articles/ins... www.mediamatters.org/project-2025

If they keep impoverished people, especially Black people, scrambling to keep themselves and children fed... then those people have to take what low wage jobs they can, be practically indentured in their work and have little time and energy to organize against them The cruelty IS the point.
