Can't stop thinking about how the NYPD gave their body cam footage to an old white guy at CNN within a day to glorify their siege. I don't ever want to hear them ever make an excuse about the time it takes to process it ever again.

Our agricultural industry will collapse without all the undocumented immigrants who do so much of the work. Immigrants keep our country alive and functioning. This is an insane proposal from Trump - plus the fascism is hard to ignore.

Big numbers start getting hard to really properly visualise, but for reference, the numbers here correspond to deporting about 5% of all people in the United States. 1 in 20 people. It's numbers just slightly shy of the population of Florida, or a bit bigger than the population of the Portugal

This is a fascist tactic - creating an environment of fear: suspicion of others, pitting people against each other, harsh punishments for the tiniest infraction, laws which are impossible to follow. This is dangerous stuff from MO republicans.

So angry about this. UW system head and president agree to cut 43 DEI positions, freeze new ones for 3 years, end a program to recruit minority faculty -- even though lawmakers don't have the votes to mandate it. Biggest profile in cowardice on this issue in the last 3 years.
