i want to like him because i’m a huge sucker for suicidal alcoholic detective with a veneer of nihilism trope but god he’s just so creepy towards women
the holden-miller combination liberal-cop buddy dynamic makes the entire first season borderline unwatchable for me, and i spent the entire second half of season three lamenting because liberals never kill the cops inside their heads
The final books feel really libertarian to me, but I still love Amos. I would love to hear your opinion on all of it, but I understand how getting through parts of it can be.
i’m v upset they actually made him kiss julia instead of (the imagined version) of her being an object of his desire/gateway to restoring his humanity. on the bts the showrunners mentions they were dating and it was their idea to kiss and have that scene
But consider: Miller providing map data and alerts, but not counting as a party member, because he's insubstantial and only interested in investigations
Every pundit in the last week has said we must do anything, no matter the risk, to prevent a second Trump presidency, and yet none have put Amos up for nomination
I like him because he's not afraid of violence but understands that it's consequential and that he's bad at deciding when he should be using it.
If I'd figured that out at a younger age I'd have been better off.l
The evolution into the galaxy’s best (and worst) spacedad always gets me. Takes him four seasons to come to terms with the fact that he’s fundamentally different, and in the end turns it into “you will *not* fuck with my kids”.
The authors hinted at doing more seasons/movie in an ama last year but i think amazon sold the props from the show already and it seems increasingly unlikely
