He is always dynamic, whatever the part. When he and Raylan got going it was so non-stop and the chemistry was so perfect. It reminds me a bit of the wayback machine when cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis would get started on Moonlighting.

To be fair, very few characters on that show were sympathetic; as I recall, his portrayal was more so than most. But it was a long time ago, and I was also watching while recuperating from a back surgery, so there were pain meds involved. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Admittedly it started as kind of a one-off joke, but something about the character (Venus) resonated with fans, & eventually she & Tig began a relationship. It was handled with surprising sensitivity in a season dripping with excessive brutality. There are a few genuinely moving scenes between them.
