I feel bad for the journalists inside the NYT, the WSJ and Washington Post trying to do excellent work in spite of leadership decisions and terrible op-eds that undermine those ongoing efforts

this is also such an obvious opportunity for comparing and contrasting Biden and Trump in stories for the media that's doing lots of "Biden Old" — conveying to people that Trump is old *and* his brain is melting where Biden is old and therefore gets tired more easily is a really useful both siding.

And while people might see it as being bad in a sense for Biden, some only likely voters also might appreciate the phenomenal downsides of being disengaged and/or not voting.

Kind of the real threat of Trump to Republican Party is that if they hadn't picked him as nominee, he makes a Reform party and then this happens.

Trump isn't used to food of that level of quality, RFK will regale us with how the second time is less surprising than the first.

I have no idea the best path re Biden but I do know a solid week straight of “Biden Old” and “Rich Dems Worried” above-the-fold stories are *obscene* in the face of SCOTUS using the Constitution to wipe their asses purely in the service of reinstating a felon rapist as president. Crazy-making shit.

I am really getting the sense that Biden's and D's best option now is to say that Harris will be a Cheney-style VP in his 2nd term.

whenever one sees mali throwing up, it is always a question of where is she going to choose to throw up next. and if you find one, where is the other. before you step it in it of course with only socks on. for a certain sith panda, this is only a hypothetical

seems impossible, those two cutie pies, if one of them was doing that, it clearly would smell of flowers and spice, bringing joy to the world.

Conservative+Reform both seem to be losing seats that if they both didn't exist, they'd be perfectly capable of competing for.

The New York Times Crisis of Confidence: badly shaken in the wake of bad editorial decisions, many are calling for the paper to resign.

I’m rooting for ProPublica or Texas Tribune's Publisher+Executive Editors because the job of the Grey Lady — and especially at a time when the stakes are so high, when disinformation is the opposition — the job of media is to inform.
