Roberts court will be just behind the Taney court as most loathsome in history.
I'm being dead serious here, the decision to say that the President can just kill anyone and do a coup and become a dictator with unlimited power is probably worse than the Dred Scott decision.
It genuinely changes the entire governmental system from a democracy to a dictatorship.
I think it's time to start seeking constitutional amendments too. I know it's a heavy lift, but why not start? There should be an amendment process underway right now to overturn citizens united. Just to start with.
The avenues to amend the constitution (2/3 of both houses of Congress or 2/3 of all state legislatures) would require unrealistically massive Democrat landslides in multiple consecutive election cycles to avoid the possibility of Republican obstruction.
Yes and I think that’s being extremely generous without some seismic political shake up where the Republican party basically implodes and can’t meaningfully oppose Democrats anymore. The amendments amount to little more than a way to metaphorically “seal the coffin”.
In 2008, the establishment Rep's and Dem's had screwed up the country so hard, that "out of nowhere" the USA shocked the world by electing a President with the middle name "Hussein" - only 7 years after 9/11.
We may be coming to that level of dissatisfaction again.

Expand the court. Much lower bar for success. But that requires a landslide Democratic election result.
As much as I don't want to impeach Sotomayor and Kagan, I honestly think you just need to file articles of impeachment against the entire court. Remove all of them, start from scratch. The entire bench is tainted by this court. They all need to go.
So I guess if Biden orders up death squads now to kill his political opponents, that is now totally legal, since he can't be prosecuted for official acts.

No, because the Supreme Court have made themselves the arbiter of what is and is not an official act, so they could rule against a democratic president’s actions, and in favor of a Republican president’s actions.
