That Hussite flail is nasty as hell. The power you get in a swing is almost shocking, and they effectively hit OVER shield walls and break bones.There's a reason they were feared even by armored knights sent on Crusades against the Huss "heretics".

@robfeldacker.bsky.social you might like this. Homemade Hussite flail I made about a year ago. The stirrup shackles are cold worked chain link fence tension straps. That was....tough. Even with decent hand tools for metal work.

Halberd training using homebrew wood trainers with my son and broke the head on mine. Going to figure out reinforcement plates on the stress point tomorrow. Probably have to go at half speed instead of full speed
