I'm already home! Today was almost the complete opposite of yesterday- hardly any mail, I was on one of the easiest routes we have, and I had barely any parcels. Even with lunch and frequent hyrdration breaks I got it done in less than 5 hours, then took an hour off another carrier.

Don't see a new Techmoan video on my YouTube home page this morning, but I've only watched about an hour of Jeff's new NES rankings episode (in which he gets through exactly one game, Ikari Warriors II: Victory Road) and that's 3 and a half hours long, so maybe it's for the best. 😝

To no one's surprise, the day after the holiday was horrendous for mail. I was on the Other Overburdened Route, 12 trays of DPS (I got it down to 9 by moving some mail around), 7 trays of pulldown, 2 full hampers of parcels plus 4 more chonks that wouldn't fit in the hampers.

"What does my top 10 artists on LastFM say about me?"... it says this is the music I like, what the fuck else do you expect? This subreddit's full of the most insecure motherfuckers I've ever seen, it's pathetic.

Good to know that my mobility aids are what make me unfit for any position of power or influence. For, as we all know, once you're a cripple, you're basically brain dead, too. Critique Biden for a host of things he's done, not for the spectre of perhaps needing a damn rollator.

A ton of people in the U.S. use mobility aids (I use a rollator sometimes) and the number of people who have loved ones who use them has gotta be huge. Hoping this blatant ableism doesn’t fly with people.

Made one of those 5x5 charts for a post on the LastFM subreddit, and Camila Cabello somehow ended up in my top 5 for the week. You can't say I'm not committed to figuring out WHY I don't like an album.

Fireworks have started, dogs aren't barking, I'm a little surprised considering they go into fits over fucking NOTHING every morning before my alarm goes off.

This is how it's done, but it's a little too late for us to learn the lesson here.

I've now opened this bottle of wine, which is probably a terrible mistake since I have to work tomorrow and the day after a holiday's always a shitshow. But it tastes really good. 😝

So I went to bed before 9 last night, because I was so wiped out from working 8 days in a row, didn't even open the bottle of wine I got on my way home, woke up somewhere around 5. 😐

Listening to this again now and it's so good, still can't understand how I didn't see that immediately.

"Could go to hell but we'll probably be fine", Roan sings on "Naked in Manhattan", and that's kind of the overall theme of this record. Yeah, I was unfair at the start but I'm fully on board now, I get it. This album's pretty great!

Found the wildest thread so far on r/USPS: CCA was supposedly carrying 2-3 full routes undertime, but was really just delivering SPRs and parcels and bringing back ALL the mail and dumping it in missorted. What the fuck?

I want to remind everyone: It's PERFECTLY OKAY to still love art made by people who turn out to be terrible. It's good not to SUPPORT those people, once you know they've done horrible things, but the WORK ITSELF lives in your heart and you own it as much as anyone else does.

The funny side of music snobbery! Also I love that Puccini had a critic who hated him so much as to be described as his nemesis, opera's not that different from pop music after all.
