I can only frigging hope so. Too many of my fellow Marylanders buy Hogan's "actually I'm a moderate" song and dance.
By all means, let Trump and Hogan tear each other down, let Trump tell Republicans not to vote for Hogan. Oh noes, I'll be so owned if they do that!!!
For better or worse, Alsobrooks is a very conventional Democratic Senate candidate. That would’ve been enough in Maryland even before the Republican Civil War starts.
I think it’s funny he’s trying to make people believe he’ll vote with Dems on abortion as if he wouldn’t be caucusing with the republicans and that just doesn’t matter.
Eh. This actually helps Hogan.
His whole bit is that he's an independent Republican. He's going to try to win by racking up a big margin with Independents and enough Dems.
The primary is over; Hogan is the candidate for the Rs.
But if the MAGA R’s in Maryland (and make no mistake: we have them) don’t vote for him, Hogan is done. Errant Dems and Indies aren’t enough of the R’s turn on him.
RNC (and DNC) basically just does presidential and infrastructure for state parties. Then there are separate committees for senate, house, governor, and state legislative races. They all have their own leadership, funding and priorities

He was way too “reasonable” to maintain MAGA support. But my fear now is he could win and throw the Senate cause he’s appealing to those nasty “third way” folks.
