What is best in life? To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women, and to watch Franke Potenta running for an hour or so.
Dumbest idea I keep hearing is that if the Dems oust Biden, the press will stop criticizing them because it satisfies the "old/mental acuity" criticism.
They'll just pick whatever is wrong with the next Democrat and make THAT the Most Important Issue In The Campaign like with EMAILS.
Every leftists I know: It should be Kamala today fuck it I don't like her but fuck it she can win against this old fascist bitch.
Every democrat with power: 16 round tournament, 3 wild card play-ins, cumulative points against total, winner determined on November 10th.
Absolutely huge numbers of bears last night and again tonight. 20+ bears at the falls. And fortunately, the salmon are running strong tonight. There may be some squabbling, but everyone is going to get fed.
This angers me. Deep, seething anger. I’m familiar with it, specially coming from these conservative sources.
However, I’m equally angry by the arguments condemning this. The ones that only see us immigrants as a benefit to your country. We are not utilitarian goods you feel grateful for being here
“Mass Deportation NOW!”
Let’s be clear about something:
-The RNC ordered the signs
-The RNC paid for the signs
-The RNC distributed the signs
Mass deportation is the official policy of Trump. A moral calamity in the making.
And if you don’t vote in November, you simply SUPPORT mass deportation.
Your questions and desire for understanding are valid and admirable. Let me know if you find a satisfactory answer (I don't think that article is gonna do it)
well yes, but, batteries also have power/voltage. question might be how *long* the batteries can provide that level of power. but demand is so uneven that the point is that without the batteries evening out the supply/demand curve, it would take five nuke plants to make up the peak deficit. i assume
This news is incredible. 100 days this year CA's used 100% renewables to power the entire grid, & through a heat wave, there's been no significant disruption (cough *Texas*). Energy analysts are seeing a "phase-change" of the grid with the addition of 5 nuclear plants worth of battery storage, wow
This popular gun YouTuber posted a very convincing and sympathetic video explaining why he's so upset that Trump's would-be assassin was wearing one of his t-shirts. But it seems he also quietly just removed this hat from his online merch store. (h/t Reddit)
the vast majority of these critics weren't mad because outlets criticized Biden age, they're mad because the number of "Biden is old" stories out-ratio'd stories about real policy or the looming threat of fascism by like a factor of like forty to one
The Republican line now is that the shooting was caused by Dems saying Trump is a threat to democracy, and they’re doing that because it’s a big and true thing they want Dems to stop saying.
Party whose core supporters regularly attend protests outfitted like this demands that Democrats stop saying Trump is a threat to democracy lest violence ensue
Two months ago Greg Abbott pardoned a murderer who texted a friend "I might go to Dallas to shoot looters" then drove into a BLM protest in Austin and killed a protester. The universal response from conservatives to the pardon was "Yeah! Woo-hoo!"
Now they say liberals should turn down the rhetoric
You’d think there might be some renewed coverage of Republican politicians openly calling for political killings in the wake of all this.

MSNBC just interviewed a Trump supporter who was at the rally and she said “There is too much hate” and we need to pray for the country. She is wearing a “Know Your Parasites” t-shirt. These people have no self awareness.
Just a reminder: it’s good to oppose assassinations. But you are under absolutely no obligation to treat Trumpists and Trump-apologists as people who are honest, or acting in good faith, when they purport to condemn political violence or violent rhetoric. They’re not sincere.
I think it's perfectly acceptable for some people -- not necessarily politicians, but the rest of us -- to say something like "Trump has encouraged political violence for the better part of a decade and has been promising to do it with the government if he wins. I do not sympathize with him."
The percentage of elected Ds publicly calling for Biden to step aside is comparable to the number of scientists who deny climate change. We shouldn't pay any attention to either.
"We're gonna put kids in cages. It's gonna be glorious."
- Mike Davis, former Chief Counsel of Nominations for Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Grassley, on what he'd do if he worked in the next Trump administration's Justice Department.
