Like, yes, I get that every presidential relative is a potential risk in the sense that anyone in power having a relative get kidnapped (or whatever) could be a risk.
... but Hunter isn't trying to do top secret stuff or interfere with government decisions.
I don't know why I keep expecting decency--or even its close relative, embarrassment--from the people pushing these stories. but gosh... we all know someone who's struggled with substance use, and the sidecar of poor risk assessment. empathy shouldn't be so scanty!

Yep. He went through a massive trauma as a kid and has suffered from the results ever since, maybe is kinda a fuckup, but his family loves him. There are so many folks with basically the same story.
