For so long he has been sheltered from negative opinion by his staff & has lived in a fantasy reality of self importance; to learn just how many people not only dislike him but also ridicule & laugh at him must be really eye opening. (Unfortunately Trump does not possess the ability to self reflect)
Rich people in general are insulated from criticism if they want to be, but here he has to sit in a very official setting and have what people think of him read into the record. Fantastic.
One of the keys to taking heckling and criticism is to find if there is any small bit of legitimate criticism there and taking it to heart. His issue is that he actually thinks there's nothing wrong with him at all.

Trump has never, EVER been accused of having even the slightest sense of humor. The only time he smiles is when he’s making fun of someone else or at someone else’s distress. Loser.

During his presidency, he was once briefly self-aware about the public. Frankly admitting "they hate me. they really do." in a meeting.
But I guess the self-awareness didn't last long.
But did Trump actually understand it?
As far as not looking amused goes, that's not particularly remarkable. He seems to only look amused when he's insulting someone.
