And to my trans sisters and brothers and others 😉: You are loved, you are cherished, you are amazing, you deserve the world. Our job is to make it safe for you as we make it safe for each other. That’s a lot of work along many different vectors, but it’s easier to do it together.

This whole thing has been kind of darkly bemusing because at no point am I leaving my main point, which is that anti-Black behavior runs rampant on this platform regardless of the background of the non-Black person perpetrating it and that nothing supersedes whiteness when racism is involved.

There are a million reasons to vote against Trump/Vance, but this is the one that hits me where I live.

From the JD Vance (Senate) campaign website. JD Vance would ban every single woman (or girl) from receiving an abortion, no matter the circumstances by which she was impregnated or the danger to her health. Maybe (just maybe) if she risks imminent death.

Institutions work until they don’t. It’s banal but true. Courts as institutions worked when Trump tried to steal the election, but FedSoc has been chipping away at them for decades, and I think it is very rational to doubt they will work any more to restrain an executive.

WSJ this morning. lol at the last bit. "Leaders on both sides need to stop describing the stakes of the election in apocalyptic terms. Democracy won't end if one or the other candidate is elected. Fascism is not aborning if Mr. Trump wins, unless you have little faith in American institutions."

I'm gonna take this moment to reiterate how important Roe v. Wade was. I had an unknown tubal pregnancy that ruptured. There are a LOT of states in this country rn where I could have been refused treatment at all or until I was on the brink of death, because the only viable intervention is abortion.

Clearly, I made the right choice in having a ruptured fallopian tube on Thursday so I could miss the bulk of... whatever the fuck has been happening the last three days

If you come across it, and this sounds like a joke but isn’t, try to play Tetris within 30 minutes. Something about it works like EMDR and helps the brain process the traumatic input. There are versions for mobile, switch, computer- just about every platform.

Some pretty graphic images of the corpse of the shooter going around social media. Heads up. I've seen a lot of images of death and brutality over the years from following news on war zones but this still made me wince. It's not a pretty sight. Try to avoid it.
