Son's girlfriend was hanging with my crazy family and friends sans my son. Reported back she had to leave because my BIL and very good friend were arguing about politics. Specifically? LBJ. They were heatedly arguing about LBJ.

Asking my Brit husband if I'm pronouncing the new PM's name correctly, he assures me I am. I say aloud, "Here's hoping I need to care how it's pronounced for a long time." Any chance to needle that pro-Brexit dude I married.

Absolutely impossible to imagine but I'm in England on the day of the Euros final. Could it be? Could it be? No freakin' way in hell, but I'm going to hope. But if you force me to choose between England winning Euros and Dems winning presidency and Senate, I'm choosing the latter.

Husband is on the hook to make paella for a bunch of Youngest's friends. (They are all 22 or 23.) We've invited two of our friends just to balance the age differential scale. It is 94 degrees. Bless our pool.
