Lost in the ongoing Trumpapalooza is the excellent news that a malaria vaccination developed at Oxford Univ. over the last 30 years and costing only £3 per shot is being unrolled in malaria-prone countries. If it fulfills its promise, this will make an enormous difference to so many lives.

I maintain that Prince's guitar knew it had achieved the best it could and ascended straight to heaven at the end. I love this video. The little grins back and forth between Petty and Prince, Dhani Harrison's joy, the sheer skill of everyone on stage, it's the perfect jam session.

And it's absolutely insane that this is even up for discussion because BEFORE Covid, plenty of people wore masks. Just not a large portion of the population. And no one cared. Mask bans are 100% a culture war bullshit stance, because masks work.

Mask bans are evil and dystopian and I am appalled that they’re even being proposed. Wearing masks to protect your health and the health of others needs to be recognized as a right for all and an absolutely essential protection for those who would otherwise be unable to participate in society
