Tablets and UV sterilizer pens and such take care of viruses and bacteria, but don't actually clean the water. For inexpensive *filtration* I am fond of the Sawyer filter kits. Add your chemicals prior to filtration, wait, then filter. Cheap, safe, effective.

A reminder that wherever you are? Potable water is often an issue. keep some form of water purification. Tablets are small and easy. Lifestraws have an infinite shelf life.

Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station sits on Ngunnawal Country.

I saw a place of great importance in the history of space exploration, the site of Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station. Sadly, it's long gone now. But it was a great experience to stand amongst the ruins and know how critical it was.
