I know our major media outlets are busy doing 10 stories per day about Ivy League campus intrigue but I feel like the fact that 215 bodies were discovered in a pit behind a jail in Jackson MS earlier this year probably merited a mention or two. Maybe even a few follow up questions.

Legit. There are white men in business ,some famous some not, who didn’t finish high school, giving advice to Black folks about not needing a degree and I’m like “NOPE we are not the same”

I love this graph because it starkly demonstrates how dramatically different opportunity is distributed in this country. Black people have to have graduate degrees before they have more wealth than white HS dropouts. But affirmative action is unfair.

As someone who works in politics it why I bang on about why it’s important for Dems/progressive minded folks to communicate why a multi racial democracy is important and also what you will do to make people’s lives better (and then do those things).

Coworker saying, "It doesn't matter who wins, neither will make life any better." And it reminds me that the real end game of GOP dysfunction, gumming up passing of bills, disorder, double-speak etc. is this: to convince voters that democracy doesn't work, and fascism will at least "get things done"
