I can confirm this is the sentiment. But can also confirm not only Dem strategists but also folks in repro will say polling shows people get really weird when they consider viability questions on abortion. But if you stick to a general “should abortion be legal or no” folks go with yes.

Gotta say that the successive waves of layoffs across American journalism just as the next US election may ultimately lead to a dictatorship is not especially encouraging for the future of that country.
