You have to be pretty egregious about it. Former Rep. Mike Fortenberry (R-NE1) was caught taking illegal cash campaign contributions in a literal brown paper bag when fund-raising in California ('cause that's close to home) from a Nigerian billionaire.
Trump and his thug gang are already trying that one out; how's it working for them? No legislative immunity as part of the job description, but they thought there was, too. Not for corruption or crimes.

It's like when I shit my pants. Everyone's all "why have you done this?" and "Oh my God, the smell!" Nobody even stops to consider that SOMEONE ELSE might have shit my pants and blamed me.

Not buying it. I can find cites for the first part (and even that is being taken out of context), but nothing for the 2nd part. He seems to think it's bad policy, and in any case.
