As well they should. I'm so glad this is getting attention
President Biden and other Democrats are increasingly focusing their attacks on an aggressive right-wing agenda called Project 2025 that is being pushed by allies of presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump — prompting Trump and his team to lash out in recent days at supporters of the effort.

If you steal $1000, you can be sent to prison. When health insurance companies steal $50,000,000,000, they get tax breaks, subsidies and government contracts, while the people they steal from die or go into debt. But keep blaming immigrants and poor people for rising crime.

Just had the incredible experience of overhearing folks in the coffeeshop picking up and talking about my book & the acknowledgements' shoutout to this place I was contentedly beaming to myself but chimed in when they asked 'does she come here all the time?' to be like 'yea she does...it's me lmao'

I sometimes see people discuss the American left as being intrinsically self-sabotaging, and it feels like any discussion that doesn't factor in the extent to which the mainstream reflexively shuts out and frequently actively crushes leftist activism is wilfully naive.

More than 400,000 people were denied a vote in the UK General Election because of the Tories’ voter suppression, mainly from ethnic minority groups. This needs to be tackled immediately.

North Carolina: this is the man running for governor on the Republican ticket. Work to keep him the Fuck away from more levers of power, & realize that not a single elected NC Republican has repudiated or denounced him since he won the primary; he's just their quiet parts "this-one-goes-to-11" loud

Another fantasy: Biden, getting a question from Maggie Haberman about taking a neuro-test, answering, “You seen the other guy? On stage he spouts nonsense sounds. He forgets who he ran against last time. He didn’t do the job last time-remember “executive time.” Why do you think he’s up to it now?”

Reminder that AC can cause dehydration. I know that there is a heat wave hitting and it’s super easy to think “I’ve got AC so I’m good” and not realize that you’re getting dehydrated. Keep water close to hand and take a drink regularly, even if you don’t feel thirsty.

A reminder for Sunday eve: We historically lived and died blithe little lives concerned only with an area the size of a small town. You do not need to be plugged into the mainframe to work for justice. Just keep holding the light for those nearest; you are doing your bit already.

This learned helplessness around “no one is going to care about these things (that a lot of normal people do demonstrably care about)” I’m seeing some people display is just so counterproductive.
The number of people who have replied to either argue or bemoan that “MAGA doesn’t care” like that’s the voting bloc we have to mobilize is going to make my brain melt out my ears like taffy on a warm summer’s day

see this is the kind of thing I'm talking about with packaging the French election for US voters. it's just wrong---blocking of the right came through only because the Neoliberal party and the Left joined forces, not because the Left coalition defeated the Neoliberal bloc
