Part of the appeal of right wing politics is that good people have been voting for the "lesser evil" for decades and they see that nothing improves. Demoralizing. For the right, it is exciting to know that their vote matters - if their guy gets in, he will burn the place down. Just as promised.

In further proof that this stupid RTO policy was not well thought out, our dept has just announced that we don't have space for people to work in office 3 days per week. I swear, this is keystone cops level of competence. They didn't ask if it was possible.

There was an even bigger difference in the comments received. All on Threads and all but one here were positive, constructive, or neutral (one person was just being a jerk, not a troll). Only 18% on X were positive or neutral. The rest were negative, many highly so.

March 23 1933, the Enabling Act becomes law in Germany, giving the chief executive power enforce his own laws without checks and balances. The passing of the Act marked the formal transition from democratic republic to totalitarian dictatorship. 6 months later, it was a 1 party state.

Doubling down on making office workers commute for NO EFFING REASON is bad climate policy. As far as I can see, it only makes sense because the general public doesn't like public servants so making us miserable is an election winning strategy.
