I Saw The TV Glow is a spectacularly great and achingly, painfully tragic movie: it’s a trans fairytale heartache story told through the lens of an homage to fandom of the show Buffy The Vampire Slayer. it’s hard to describe it beyond that, but - if you’re in a place to be able to handle it, see it

Excellent long, long thread. Basically, claims of a lab-leak origin for COVID-19 have not been supported by evidence, and it's been that way for several years. In the meantime, exhaustive work and peer-reviewed evidence all point toward a natural origin and the Huanan animal market as ground zero.

Further, while the "lab leak" idea itself is not a "conspiracy theory" - and, I'm sure, the vast majority of people who believe it not "conspiracy theorists" - much of the discourse, including the article in @nytimes.com, is steeped in conspiratorial beliefs and pseudoscience. It's time to move on.

if so, I kinda wish they’d let it die. it’s adorable that they saw humor in a stripper saying she “felt safe” with Hunter Biden after watching him smoke crack; but smoking crack & abuse are different things - and there is absolutely nobody whose instincts on this I’d trust more than a sex worker.
