I think the last time that Democrats hounded one of their own out of office (albeit under very different circumstances) was Senator Al Franken in 2018. How'd that work out again? (Of note, Franken was one of the most aggressive members of the Judiciary Committee in vetting Supreme Court nominees.)

These guys want this argument to carry the day so badly and it doesn't. So they're left sputtering while the actual nominee is unable to present a coherent vision for the future of case for themselves. Which is his job.

I feel like this should go without saying but the only sane & responsible vote is November is the one that prevents Trump from taking office & finishing off American democracy. Unless something extremely surprising happens, that choice will be Joe Biden. And in any event it will be the D nominee.

Biden ran on the promise that he alone could defeat Trump. He did not defeat Trump. He gave him time to regroup. And that was a choice that he and his hand-picked attorney general made, for which they are solely responsible.
