Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he believed Donald Trump’s conviction would only help the former president at the ballot box. The independent presidential candidate echoed many of Trump’s Republican allies who criticized the verdict as politically motivated.

Cool. What do hundreds of millions of other people who also aren’t in sniffing distance of an electoral vote have to say about it?

He is not a Presidential candidate. He is a person who desperately wants to be described as a Presidential candidate. But actual candidates get a statistically significant portion of the votes cast.
Avatar
He's being funded by the Republican party & some billionaires to stay in and poach votes from liberals and independents who want to punish Biden, but can't stomach voting for a convicted felon.

RFK’s not a reliable informant.
Avatar
The "Independent" candidate supported by Trump staffers, funded by Republican donors, and spouting Republican conspiracy points.
Avatar
I'm not surprised by this at all, the appeal to civility and belief in and acceptance of conspiracy are two pillars of his campaign.

who cares what he "thinks?" Not news worthy

Reporting everything this crackpot has to say is a choice.

Please quote me too, I'm just as important: "No, it isn't." TIA

I wonder what Bobby Brainworm thinks about Donnie and all of his "lock her up" chants? Were those politically motivated? Why do all of these law and order types hate to see actual law and order? They rail about how they love the system and then spit at it when it works against them. Telling.
Avatar
Amazing how RFKJ says exactly what the Times wants to print.
Avatar
Fuck you. Why in the wide, wide world of FUCK would crazy Bobby's opinion rate a column in the paper of record?
Avatar
Not a day goes by without my opinion of RFKjr sinking further. And I was a big admirer of his father and both his uncles.

Because RFKjr is running for President and while he's unlikely to win he might swing the vote. Therefore everything he says is news, because it effects his candidacy. Anyway, who appointed you news gatekeeper?
Avatar
A very fair response to my very poorly put argument. I do still think that "this is news" only because the NYT (or other outlets) want it to be. They choose what to report and there must have been something that would have benefited their readers more than "man with bad opinions has bad opinion".

Seems like there must an outbreak of brain worms at the New York Times to think giving that nutjob a platform is a good idea. He's a conspiracy theory addled fool with nothing of value to say.
Avatar
If Trump really believed that was the case he wouldn't have been so desperate to avoid the trial from happening in the first place.
Avatar
YESSS, siphon off those Trump votes 🧠🪱
Avatar
The more he aligns with Trump the more votes he takes from Trump.
Avatar
Who the fuck cares what that piece of shit thinks
Avatar
Sounds like something that someone with brain worms would say.
Avatar
Again why are the rantings of this sad human news?

HE HAS THE BRAIN WORMS HIS OPINION IS IRRELEVANT

How is the verdict politically motivated?? This is so stupid!

Yeah, well, he’s is an idiot.

The @nytimes.com is too cowardly to call out such inflammatory lies.

I mean, brainworms, but still... Strategically, I hope he keeps opening his big, stupid trap. The more RFK sounds like Dementia Don the more gullible, dipshit suckers he'll siphon away from him come November.
Avatar
hey nyt how’s it going on bluesky lmao
Avatar
Yeah politically motivated, that's why there was tons of evidence - enough for a jury to convict in a criminal standard of review. Give me a break.

“Worm brain says words to try to be relevant.”. Fixed it.
