The question was not “are there substances with an LD50 that are good for you?” the question was the blanket “is poison good for you?” and google answered yes. That is not a good response given the colloquial understanding of poison. Genuinely some insufferable people on here.

actually a really good example of why AI isn’t good at doing the thing we’re being told it can do: it can give answers that are made up of technically correct statements that overall give a completely wrong answer
it is fundamentally bad at meaning. the answer to the question “is poison good for you” is not “it can be!” it’s “poison is a word that usually means something that’s bad for you even if small amounts aren’t always bad.” and it’s definitely not “YES”
They think it can be patched whack-a-mole style into being more or less perfect, because they're unwilling to admit that a statistical text assembling model being fed the world's 'information' (a term so broad it mans nothing) and spitting it back out minus attribution/context is a terrible idea

Okay, but this is actually correct. Alcohol is a poison, but in low concentrations it kills bacteria but not humans, and therefore allowed large numbers of humans to live in close proximity to one another. Civilization as we know it never evolves without it.
