I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact that new WaPo CEO, Will Lewis, used to be the publisher of The Wall Street Journal and before that, editor of the Daily Telegraph.

Funny that Bezos would hire a new CEO for WaPo who built his career working for four different conservative British media orgs, after which he went to work for Rupert Murdoch as chief executive of Dow Jones & Company and publisher of The Wall Street Journal.

Kinda interesting is the journey Bezos took from buying the post to save independent journalism to turning it into his personal propaganda rag.

No one can be sure how CNN+ would've performed. It never launched because "Zaz" (David Zazlov) simply decided he didn't want it & would put CNN's digital content inside Max. So he killed it just before launch. Maybe he was influenced by the fact it was an initiative of Jeff Zucker who he had fired.

They could better serve their audiences by breaking news about insurrectionist Supreme Court justices before three years and a competitor gets there, but I suppose we’ll only get that if we pay extra.
