Having lost three friends in the past two weeks (two heart attacks and a suicide) I echo this in the strongest way possible. Tell people the things you'd say in their eulogy, but while they're still here.

Protip: for any cis people who don’t already know, the phrase “this person” is an extremely obvious way transhobes often degender and/or misgender trans people. you should generally not use that phrasing. especially if you are criticizing someone who happens to be trans.

It is scary as fuck right now for trans authors and prospects for us being able to continue telling our stories get bleaker every day. Please, buy & read as many of these folks' books as you can. I'm not exaggerating when I say you may not always be able to.
