Yeah because the White House was working on a bill to help those with Parkinson’s disease that was signed this week. This is literal far right disinformation from the New York Times.
Breaking News: A Parkinson’s expert visited the White House eight times in eight months from last summer through this spring, according to official visitor logs. The administration has said that President Biden has no signs of the disease.

Hey politics reporters, when the former president was in office he just stopped releasing WH visitor logs and it was like a 1 day story and you all were like ah well nevertheless instead of doing your job

still can't believe the sensible center spent 9 months saying 'don't criticize biden over gaza or the bad orange man wins' and now they're all trying to trick him into going to the Theatre of Pompey they still love what's happening in gaza, of course

Interesting how the NYT is once again crediting themselves with highlighting Elon Musk misdeeds when Texas Monthly was reporting on it 3 years ago!

The only decent-looking food place is full of gluten stuff and the smoking lounge nearby has their door open, so it definitely feels like I'm back in Paris.
Regretting not opting for Lufthansa or Air France. Air flow in the plane was minimal, and CMN doesn't have a single bar. Not good when I have a 4 hour layover.

The thing about a bunch of malevolent nitwits spending the day hyperventilating about completely standard campaign advance work is that Donald Trump is trying to destroy American democracy and claim for himself unchecked power the likes of which we fought a revolution to escape.

Le Pen's party (RN) got 143 seats. While a record, that's far (very far) from the 289 they hoped for to govern. How?! Hundreds of Left & Macronist candidates dropped out to help each other block the RN. And millions of voters then voted strategically to get that job done.
Avatar
Due to high turnout last week, 311 districts out of 577 ended up with 3-way runoffs: That was expected to help the RN, allowing them to win with < 50% in many places. But this week was a mad scramble. In 200+ districts, candidates in 3rd place dropped out to block the RN.

We know 550 of 577 districts in France. Left bloc: 188 Macron bloc: 149 RN/far-right bloc: 139 LR/right: 44 Other left: 8 Other right: 16 Others: 6 REMAINS: 27 docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

Leaving Manchester for Casablanca on Royal Aur Maroc. Wish me luck. (Only a 3.5h layover in Rick's town. Then to Lagos.)

this isn’t about whether or not you personally like kamala harris. the vice presidential candidate is chosen as the one to step in if the president cannot fulfill his duties. passing her over in this moment would fundamentally change the way veeps are chosen going forward.
Avatar
by choosing anyone other than harris to replace biden should he decide to step aside, the party would be revealing they very cynically chose her as veep for optics without believing she could actually be president.

Rolling into the oval office at 11, zoning out for the intelligence briefing, whining until they let him wander away and watch fox. That was Trump every damn day

"Executive Time" fell out of the coverage of Donald Trump in the most incredible way. Nobody writing about his quest to become president again ever mentions the fact that he hated the job when he had it and he couldn't and wouldn't really do it!
The discourse around biden needing more sleep is fully insane. Does no one remember "Executive Time," the thing Trump spent the majority(!) of his schedule on where he would just watch TV and tweet? Dude was categorically unable to fulfill any of the demands of the office and the press barely cared

"A majority of the Supreme Court has now made clear that if an autocratic regime ever does take power, they have no intention of standing in its way." Biden/Harris should forcefully campaign against this sicko conservative majority that wants to undo the American project of democracy.
Among other questions, I wonder how we got to the point where “separation of powers” means the judiciary can prohibit the executive from holding itself accountable. radleybalko.substack.com/p/the-suprem...

Another recent example in Munoz. Barrett cites Madison's Report of 1800, quoting as if it's his position a hypothetical premise he's actually stating for arguments sake, says he's not conceding, and dismisses as irrelevant. She plainly didn't even read the sentences directly around what she quoted.

In sum: Cannon set two weeks of briefing on whether to hold briefing on the effect of the SCOTUS immunity decision on the Mar-a-Lago case. Assuming she decides yes (at some point), there then would be months of briefing before an actual decision on the effect. Then, applying it.

My sister (British Green) wonders why Biden can't just step down, and that made me game this out: 1. Biden drops out. 2. Media story: "then you aren't fit to be President!" He resigns and Harris takes over. 3. New media story/House impeachment: how long has WH covered this up? . . . President Trump.

"RETRUTH IF YOU WANT TELEVISED MILITARY TRIBUNALS" is, to me, a deranged and instantly disqualifying thing for a presidential candidate to say, but on the other hand joe biden looks and sounds very old
In the exact same nine day period that Biden and his White House and campaign have been flailing, Trump has offered voters a window into his own mental state and vision for term 2 It’s not great! www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

The media focus on Joe Biden's age rather than the faults of his similarly old opponent is quite the choice.
Maybe y'all should focus more on the GOP not caring about the faults - sexual assaulter, fraudulent businessman, serial liar, convicted felon - they genuflect to?

I now just assume the media actively wants Trump to win.
Seems like "what parts of Project 2025 do you disagree with?" or "what parts of it are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal?" would be good questions for a reporter to ask the other elderly presidential candidate, but what do I know. on.ft.com/4ePQH0e
