look i'll be clear, I will be voting, and encouraging everyone I know to do the same, against donald trump and the end of democracy in this country in november. I do not care if that means i'm voting for a man who is literally dead.
Like I've been hard on the "replacing Biden is stupid" train, obv, but if they did it, I'm gonna lay down some broken glass to crawl over to vote for whoever the fuck is on the ballot.
I voted third party last time because I could not stomach a vote for Biden but I'll just hold my nose this time. The stakes have really ramped up too much. I really hate that these fuckers have forced the country into this scenario.
The Democrats have been pulling the "this is absolutely the most important vote of your life, so say you support this bag of shit or you're a fascist" card for my entire adult life, but even I might hold my nose and vote for Biden at this rate, and I'm real mad about it.
i tend to think that all of the elections are important but this one is simply as stark as can be. it is pretty much a direct up/down vote about whether you would like to have meaningful elections again in your life.
I honestly think that we'll be lucky if Republicans don't use the "if we refuse to certify the electoral votes on January 6th we get to elect a Republican no matter what the election results are" hack this cycle, but they'll probably use it in 2029 if they don't this time.
Absolutely. If the MVP needs to take over, she'll be excellent at the job. And the administration has been ensuring she gets in-person experience around the nation and the world, little though our news orgs have covered this, to help prepare her. She has been VERY well received.
Hell yeah, love it when people share references. I wonder if we're the same age or if electing dead guys is actually super-rare so that's the only instance to refer to (it probably is tbh but if you'd asked me at 16 I'd have said it sounded like y'all had the process down to a routine)
Honestly now that the president is a super-citizen with a blank check to do whatever the fuck they want, a comatose figurant is starting to sound like the ideal person for the job
