Rescued a dog from Dogs Trust in Liverpool. He didn't seem to understand us much & we thought it was because he wasn't used to the commands/words. Turns out he understands us better when we talk in a Scouse accent, so we've had to teach ourselves to speak Scouse for the dog.

The hill I will die on is that this is not a digital problem. We don't send younger kids out to play by themselves anymore for fear of kidnapping/CPS, and those kids become teens who don't do it either. There's also a loss of third spaces for teens. Even the freaking malls require chaperones.

Fuck the TERFs and their hurt feels. On one side: trans people, vilified by press and politicians, trying to access healthcare and get on with their lives. On the other: some middle class TERFs with “beliefs”. Legitimate concerns my arse.

I think this definitely part of the thinking around Elon’s Saudi backing for Twitter. They’d be fine with killing it. But Twitter still has ten million signups/ month and almost every celebrity or brand on earth. As he’s turning it into a Nazi-making machine. And that’s even better for the Saudis.

My personal opinion: The Saudis (among others) saw EM as a useful idiot. They loaned him billions to take down a platform that was an archive for their crimes and atrocities by authoritarian regimes around the globe. They knew he’d fly it into the side of a mountain.
