“They want to eliminate national parks” is a very simple way to get just about anyone on the Stop Project 2025 train. Are there much more glaring and life-threatening goals of P25? Yes but even your most bigoted cousin does not want to see the parks system sold for parts.

The entire game of making right wingers “patriots” and liberals “America haters” is about gerrymandering what you’re allowed to be proud of in American history and what counts as hatred. Pride in The New Deal doesn’t count and hatred of immigrants and America’s largest cities doesn’t count either.

I’m not saying that these polls are right and I’m certainly not gonna predict what’s going to happen, but I am going to suggest that many of us on here marinate in an information stew that it very different from what swing state voters are getting right now.

I’m not sure that that poll showing Biden up in MI is right, but if it is it’s because there are CONSTANT pro Biden ads here.

Honestly, tho, stuff like this is so easy to push back against.

I don’t doubt the sincerity of (most) people who got sucked into the ratfuck. But good god I’d love for some of them to understand that fixating on supposed concerns from voters about Biden while ignoring the revelation that Trump was caught up with Epstein is exactly what Trump would want.
