Republican president was shot by a Republican because of an environment of normalized violence that Republicans insist we all live in, and somehow this means that both sides need to tone it all the way down, which in practice means that Democrats and only Democratic need to stop talking entirely.

Me listening to Kathleen Hanna talking about how writing her memoir was cathartic and also extremely traumatic: huh, interesting. Me reading her memoir: oh. It’s great and she’s a fucking icon, and god DAMN did she have a traumatic life. I hope it’s roses for her from here on out.

I feel really bad for JD Vance’s wife. She’s gonna have so much racism and misogyny thrown at her and her own husband is going to feed her to the dogs about it all, because any kind of major pushback will alienate the base.

If someone told you, "Many of America's top reporters spend a lot of their day in a chat room run by a 'great replacement' believing white supremacist and where many posters are Nazis" you'd be alarmed. That's basically the situation now.

I’ve said this a million times, but I’m genuinely frightened about what Musk’s fascist propaganda network is doing to do to our politics. I really wish someone, anyone, would come up with a collective strategy to get journalists, organizers and elected officials off the platform.
