The last few wks have been especially difficult for me especially in finances. A few months ago a cow walked in front of my car & 2 wks back, the front wheel literally broke off (2016 Nissan w/only 45K miles) but to top it all off, my grandmother had a stroke today, It’s just too much sometimes. 💔

This is wonderful news.
Exit polling suggests 410 seats for Labour and only 130 for the Tories, which “would be the worst defeat for the Conservatives in the nearly 200-year history of the party”

On this July 4, please pause to remember that one of the colonists’ complaints in the Declaration was that the Crown was paying its judges.

The NYT, the most influential paper in the country, just ran an Op Ed called 'Why I Don't Vote' by a guy who votes. It's that simple. The NYT is a farce. You cannot trust anything they print.

Remember, don’t let MSM shape the narrative.
Wait, why am I just now learning about this?

King George III & Parliament broke their own laws & therefore he was a Tyrant. Ruling that Trump is above the law is traitorous but they don’t care b/c they, w/THF & GOP want to undo all of our history in favor of tyranny.

France, famous for surrender, didn't roll over and let the right take their country. I sure hope we have those same instincts.
This amount of coalescing against the far-right by no means looked certain as of a week ago. While it can't just erase Macronists' extraordinarily equivocating 'pox on both houses' rhetoric during the campaign, it does make it a lot harder for the far-right to win on Sunday.

Ppl are retweeting this and I just want to add that faxing is THE most annoying thing to do to your representatives. There are websites where you can fax for a small fee and those machines are LOUD and then at the very least they have to deal with all the print outs.
Being really annoying is praxis. Phone, email, fax, show up in person if that’s an option. Just don’t let up until you’re too irritating to ignore.

What worries me is most Americans have no idea how resilient authoritarian regimes are. Way too many ppl out here fantasizing about pendulums and tipping points and revolution when they can’t even organize a food coop, much asymmetrical warfare against a surveillance state

We're in the most dangerous moment not because we're doomed, but because we're at the razor's edge of a tipping point between the future we could have and the past that a bunch of losers are desperately holding on to, and just, like, the tiniest fucking thing could push it one way or the other.

I really have lost my former tolerance for "we're doomed/fucked/it's all over/they've won" takes at this point, in that they're the most dangerous attitudes one could possibly have when confronted with a truly existential political threat (which we still DO have levers to address).

I watched the “debate” for 7 min. As far as I’m concerned, CNN is complicit in destroying any Democracy we have left. I hope they enjoy their jobs as state media. At least until the Oligarchs & facilitators turn on each other & then they can enjoy “falling” out of windows like Putin’s friends.

Ferris was a narcissist, privileged brat. He’s the fun, crazy friend you have a blast with but know not to let in too much. Cameron was the hero. Ferris probably became a billionaire off some bullshit scheme while Cameron did well for himself but had a moral compass. And he married Sloane.
In my version, Cameron’s break through leads to growth & eventually he & Sloane end up together. Team Cameron all the way.

🧵 I’ve felt for many years that Reagan, who was the oldest elected President until Trump decided our trajectory but I also blame ourselves, on both sides, for ambivalence or evil, & for shrugging off key moments like Citizens United as we failed to fulfill our most basic civic duty time after time.

Had my 1st AI interviews last week. It was for a position two levels below my experience but one that propelled my career. After 2 AI interviews & an assessment test (mostly 100%) it got weird. I couldn’t upload my pertinent experience or a resume & the chatbot did not understand my question.
I’m so pleased to see my timeline stuffed with smart people tearing apart @theglobeandmail.com’s ludicrous interview with Geoffrey Hinton. A great relief amidst the ridiculous AI hype I’m hearing this week.

Made me pause. What country has the largest supply of enriched uranium? Is it Russia, Ukraine, or maybe Middle East specific? Who stands to benefit the most in respect to personal wealth in the US? Where do we stand on party lines? The answer is Russia. Largest supplier w/44% globally.

Also, if a man looks like Brad Pitt or Chris Hemsworth but isn’t kind to others, to me that makes them instantly repulsive. Hot guys who talk down to those they deem “below them” are the WORST.
This is odd to me. Of course Brad Pitt is hot but celebrity crushes vary. A few personal ones: Timothy Olyphant, Keanu, Ryan Gosling, Donald Glover, Idris Alba, Colin Firth, Dev Patel. *John Oliver might be my least conventional but intelligence, empathy, & humor are my trifecta in desirability.

I’ve been selling art but the loss of purpose is killing me. And desptite perception, I’m only here b/c of I fought hard. I need a break. 💔
