Vending machines selling bullets at grocery storeswww.cleveland.com American Rounds offers vending machines, powered by artificial intelligence, that are selling ammo for guns at grocery stores in Alabama and Oklahoma.

I did this in 2017. It comes in super handy.
I recommend taking five to ten minutes to put your US rep, US senators, and state and local elected officials into your phone contacts so you can instantly call them whenever you get mad, which will be every day from now until we die.

Good question.
So no more special counsels investigating presidents, right?

People need to stop using the phrase “fascism creep.” At this point, it’s now more like a fascism sprint.

Or just cancel the election indefinitely.
If the Supreme Court decides in favor of Trump’s claim that a sitting president has immunity from prosecution, the logical and legal thing for Biden to do would be to simply assassinate him before the election

This is so completely fucked up. Even beyond Trump’s past criminal behavior, this sets horrific precedent.
The Supreme Court ruled that President Trump has absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for all "official acts" he took while in office. FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK

Why are they giving this man a platform?
The news media has explicitly endorsed the legitimacy of the Big Lie across every single outlet

Best “stop panicking” thread I’ve seen by far. Stop whining and eat your broccoli.

Just a reminder that the pundits have been saying for the last 24 hours that the guy with a bad cold should not run for President, and they’re not saying that about the convicted felon.
Avatar
Valid point. That’s a pretty rough sound bite that should play on a loop in several swing states.
Trump said in front of a a camera that everyon agrees with him that roe being gone is good. and all these nervous nellies think anything else will matter

This is exactly what I’m seeing tonight. Especially since the moderators are doing nothing to fact check.
Correct… and because our mediated elections have become a referendum on personality, energy, charisma (rather than institutions or processes), on those metrics Biden objectively is not faring well tonight.

We're just now getting students to understand the metric system and now we have to cover cubits and hectares?

Just an absolute disregard for human life, especially the lives of women and other vulnerable people.
Ok, I need everybody to read Section III-A of Alito's dissent in the Idaho abortion case. He says - explicitly and specifically - that in cases where the amniotic sac breaks before the 24th week of pregnancy, abortions should be prohibited. HE SPECIFICALLY NOTES THE DANGERS. He points out that...

Trying to decide if this is sincere or 5th dimensional satire.

“We Built This City” woke me up out of a deep sleep my first day of college causing me to hit my head on the metal bar of the bunk bed above me. I should sue.
Name a song you hate: 1. Leonard Cohen, "Hallelujah" 2. Don McLean, "American Pie" 3. Starship, "We Built This City" Now, some will argue that 1 & 2 are Actually Good and certainly not as bad as 3. I'm here to tell you that you are wrong and all three songs are treacly pieces of garbage.

Yep another reason why we need to pay attention to Sinclair. People still believe local news follows principles of neutrality and fairness, but that hasn’t been true for decades and it seems to be getting worse, especially on affiliate websites.

Both North Carolina Senators signed onto this letter.
new from me: last week, 28 GOP senators sent a letter to AG Garland complaining about Trump's NY conviction, saying it was troubling because it targeted "a leader of the loyal opposition" ...okay, there are SEVERAL things wrong with that idea
Opinion | MAGA Republicans are not behaving like the 'loyal opposition'www.msnbc.com The complaint that Donald Trump is being targeted as a “leader of the loyal opposition” is false on multiple levels.

It's an absolute travesty. Even if there are a relatively small number of majors, these professors serve a large number of students in core classes and electives.
UNC Asheville is going to close its drama, philosophy, religious studies, French, and German depts because financial consultants recommend this. These consultants only count the number of majors, not the number who take and are influenced by courses from depts other than their major. Shame!

This puts her more or less in line with the ultra-conservative NC state legislature.
UPDATE: NY Governor Kathy Hochul said on CNN last night that she is considering a ban on masks. This is absolutely shameful! New York has suffered so much from COVID, and COVID is not over. We should be normalizing and depoliticizing masks, not banning them.

Having spend many years working in NC, I can't emphasize this point enough. Don't abandon the people who didn't ask for this stuff. Between gerrymandering and other forms of voter disenfranchisement, their voices aren't being heard. And they don't deserve what's happening at the state level.
3. Nearly 60% of TX's pop is BIPOC, and new pop growth in TX is basically a 10:1 BIPOC to white ratio. So before you fire up your "let them go" hot takes, consider that you'd be advocating for the abandonment of a lot of folks (many disfranchised or inadequately represented) who hate this shit too

The anti-masking portion of this bill is bad enough, but the campaign finance implications are utterly corrosive.
North Carolina's GOP is poised to pass a law to let billionaires & corporations give unlimited dark money to state candidates, using gerrymandered supermajorities to override Dem Gov. Roy Cooper's veto. Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, the far-right GOP nominee for governor, seems too toxic for named donors
NC lawmakers push new campaign finance rules. Critics call it political ‘money laundering’www.wral.com Proposed campaign finance rules passed the state Senate Thursday with no debate or explanation. The changes now go to the state House for a vote next week.

This is a great example of how data can be used to push disinformation. And it falsely reinforces generational stereotypes that Fox News’ older audience craves.

If I'm doing the math right, [53 years x 365 days x 3 felonies a day], I'm somewhere close to 58,335 felonies behind. Better get to work.
first it was the whole eight glasses of water thing and now I’m apparently way behind on my daily felonies

I prefer BLOAT [Biggest Liar of All Time] to GLOAT. If he was the "Greatest," he wouldn't have gotten caught.
