Trump's campaign demonstrates that billionaires don't need to run a president who can speak coherently, knows who is in office now, or is even loyal to the US. They just need someone who can catalyze anger generated by previous things billionaires have inflicted on society, & direct it to the left.

Out of that whole interview one paragraph makes sense and I totally agree with it. The rest is cuckoo for cocoa puffs. He seems to think human consciousness is no different than a back-propagation neutral net? I think? Like he thinks he discovered the secret to AGI in 1986 but no one understands it?

fun thing about websites - they work perfectly in the EU. instant load times. it's not graphics slowing them down, it's adware tracking that's illegal in europe now.

My internet connection is technically a lot faster, but it craps out or slows down pretty often, and websites are so graphics and glut heavy that the extra speed just gets eaten up. My phone reception is pretty bad and I get broken up calls all the time. My printer sucks.

30+ years ago in SNOW CRASH, Neal Stephenson's characters made a big to-do about how people (called "gargoyles") wearing always-on recording goggle rigs were widely mocked and disdained. At the time I thought this was just random world-flavoring, but now I think the guy was really onto something.

four months after launch I can tell the apple goggles lived up to their tech revolution hype because I have not seen anyone mention them in any context whatsoever for the last three months

Make no mistake, a company who fires people for TALKING to folks with internal complaints is absolutely behaving like a company with something to hide. Externals can only speculate on what’s actually happening, but the public BEHAVIOR is extreme and aligns with organizational suppression.

Need a national curriculum that's not left up to states in any way. Really we need to run them all out of the Dept of Ed, not patchwork like this. Education system need to uplift the thinking, and anger the ignorant, like the mom in the OP. It currently does the opposite.
