For those who can, the strongest way to oppose fascism is:
(1) Retain full voting rights in the most competitive elections possible for as long as possible.
(2) Remove yourself from contributing to economic growth for which the fascist head of state will get full credit.
That can mean moving.
The killer for the US is the threat to democracy itself.
Populations can make bad decisions, and then change their minds. Happens all the time. A Trump term 2 occurring *after* he attempted a coup and holding immense newly minted executive power has no analog in modern Europe.
Doesn't this also give him a roadmap for specifically how to commit crimes in ways that are immune? Like, couldn't he have taken much more extreme action in 2020 by simply sticking to official acts?

It's kind of amazing how few of that era's crazies are thriving in the MAGA-era. How is Michele Bachmann not in the running for VP or like seven cabinet positions?
