So this is just a full on ratfuck operation got it
The NYT Parkinson's "scoop" is even worse than it seems from the headline, bc buried in paragraph 11 the reporters *know* Dr. Connard met with someone other than Biden, and on March 28, 2024 the President's Public Schedule shows Biden was in NYC the whole day

What this article leaves out is that if you hand your unlocked phone to a police officer, they can legally search it. Unless companies develop a method that allows you to show officers insurance cards and driver license without unlocking the rest of your phone, don't. www.zdnet.com/article/digi...

It’s such a tell that one candidate is allowed to be old with his brains leaking out while the other is subjected to a weeks long whisper campaign to knee cap him out of the race because of a bad debate performance. Almost like there’s no principle at work beyond attacking Democrats.
Just like none of the bold investigators backfilling Joe Biden's feeble debate performance with punchy anonymous quotes have ever figured out why Trump was rushed to Walter Reed, claimed he wanted a spur-of-the-moment weekend checkup, and a year later declared that he had NOT had a series of strokes

Excited for all the elected officials dragging down their nominee to come up with 1) a list of very real and good goalposts for him to assuage their concerns 2) a deadline for rediscovering basic message discipline.
So Biden has: -Held multiple public rallies -Met with governors -Done multiple interviews (radio and TV) -Made public statements about his intent -Showing support in swing states is unchanged -Bonus: Refused to cross a picket line. Y'all can see the ratfucking the media is doing right?

Read this whole piece. The idea that the press is chomping at the bit to portray Biden in decline and Trump ascendant is morally bankrupt and dangerous
In the exact same nine day period that Biden and his White House and campaign have been flailing, Trump has offered voters a window into his own mental state and vision for term 2 It’s not great! www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

There are many things that infuriate me about the pundit class right now, but probably one of the top on my list: Project 2025 has posted their plans for every single federal department on their website. They have a training academy for prospective appointees. Where are the hard hitting op-eds?

It's amazing how confidently the media asserted that Biden's post debate polling was disastrous (including Stephanopoulos having an extended on air argument with Biden about it during yesterday's interview!) with basically zero evidence

I have no idea the best path re Biden but I do know a solid week straight of “Biden Old” and “Rich Dems Worried” above-the-fold stories are *obscene* in the face of SCOTUS using the Constitution to wipe their asses purely in the service of reinstating a felon rapist as president. Crazy-making shit.

This is the whole story.
I mean, I look at the structural stuff, not the narrative here. The polls have barely moved, Trump has no money, and Biden has a huge war chest and time booked. Why let the panic of a few people- largely driven by people that already don’t like Biden- shape what I’m thinking here?

I mean, FFS: Biden has lost a few steps? No fucking kidding! But Trump has been ranting incoherently, about his dream of becoming Caligula, for 9 years now. Biden gets tired and loses his train of thought sometimes. Trump gets tired and promises to execute immigrants to feel better.

It’s a very obscure question but I did some research and it turns out that the president who led us out of the Depression and kicked Hitler’s ass was actually in a wheelchair? Who knew?
Kevin, I am not a historian, so IDK, but has there ever been a President in American History who used a mobility aid? And, if so, would you say this president who was so weak as to need, say, braces or a wheelchair, is considered to be one of the top President’s ever?

Trump literally just started rambling on about sharks and electric boats when his teleprompter had issues in Vegas.
The teleprompter is a common device for politicians. But President Biden’s use of it even in small settings has prompted frustration by some listeners.

There are 17 weird things going on in this headline
Uncertainty over whether President Biden will continue seeking re-election, despite his pledges to stay in the race, has sharpened the focus on Donald Trump’s political calculations for choosing his Republican running mate.
How Biden’s Struggles Are Factoring Into Trump’s V.P. Selectionwww.nytimes.com The former president’s reluctance to name a running mate has, in recent days, been partly to avoid shifting the focus away from President Biden amid fallout from the debate.

It also makes me feel insane that the rat fuck around Biden’s age and mental capacity is being uncritically spread around by Democrats when Trump is *incredibly obviously* grotesquely mentally incapacitated, in a way that is genuinely terrifying.
It makes me feel very much unmoored from reality to see all this *buying into* the Biden Too Old ratfuck narrative, days after the Supreme Court ruled that Trump gets to be dictator for life, just weeks after Trump became a convicted felon (oh, and there’s the Epstein stuff that just came out).

Either the Democrats will run Biden, or he'll say he can't continue the campaign and Democrats will run Harris. Either is newsworthy, but neither is nearly as radical as running a pro-insurrection convicted felon with legal immunity he's eager to use.

If the lower court understood the present moment, this would be its response: "The court is surprised this needs to be said, but anything related to a coup attempt is not an official act. That includes all of the conduct in the indictment. Trial begins September 1st."
Opinion basically comes down to "official actions are immune, unofficial aren't" and the court says that since lower courts have not made a determination on that question, they need to go do that. Beyond me to determine how feasible that is, but absolutely delays the trial.
