what is a funnier way of spelling the fake word I made up:
“Greatures”
or
“Greetures”
?
Please sound off below 👇 in da replies 25 27
it’s pronounced liked “creatures” but with a G instead of the C. In case we get another Crange pronunciation issue (real nuts know). 4 7
First one imo (“greatures”) 3
In that case I’d do Greetures, I thought “Greatures” was “great-tures”
the "greet" version reads more like this than "great" ..."greatures" i would first read as "great-churs" or "grate-churs"
something about the ea in greature is funnier to me 8
oh Greatures for sure. it looks pleasingly wrong in precisely the right way. 5
Greatures. Creatures Great and Small 4
Greatures. Greetures is just a bit too distant from creatures so you start doubting that’s what’s happening here 3
the second one is like, a creature that greets you? but the first one could be mispronounced great-tures like a great creature? 1
I like Greatures, and also saying "spelled like it sounds" whenever it's out loud 1
I like Greatures it's close enough to Creatures that it makes you doubt what you just read and do a doubletake 1
Greatures sound like the coolest beings around. 1
greatures has more charm imo
i WAS gonna say if you're worried about people parsing "great" first, maybe there's a case for putting a ch in there instead, but then i typed out "greachures" and it made me think "brochure", some days you just can't get rid of a bomb 1
Greatures has a good word shape, but I also like it because autocorrect gets mad at me for typing it
Creatures sounds like a little guy, and greetures sound like an old guy at Walmart had a transformation
are they greeting or are they great? though that kind of distinction is so reliant on only having text and since you're doin a visual medium, greetures would probably look funnier written by you
Sounding off for greatures
I like Greactures since my brain gets the word "creature" and "greetures" for some reason makes me think "green pastures"--may just be me tho
I think it's gotta be "Greetures", because when I see the other option I instinctively wanna pronounce it "Great-churs" where "great" is in the sense of "big or important or high quality".
Depends on the meaning. Greatures for very large ones would work, and Greetures for those who are like greeters. You know, like the ones at Walmart.
First one because it implies these are Great Creatures.
I think you are on to something with greatures
both are pronounced the same, i am just curious if it comes across better one way or the other. cus i like making my comics difficult to enjoy 1 2
"Greature" makes me want to read "Greaiture" like "Great Furniture"
Greatures, 100% reads better, greetures might have folks thinking they greet people or something.
I vote Greetures, I think the double-E looks cooler
