I am not decided on whether I actually want the president to step aside, but I have decided that Biden should label the Heritage Foundation a terrorist organization and put their employees on the no-fly list just to see what happens.

Agricultural production is about 1/8 of total emissions. When you add in forestry and land-use change (much caused by agricultural expansion) you are up to 1/4 of total emissions. Adding in fossil CO2 emissions for energy use in food supply chains & methane from landfilled food waste gets to 1/3.

Correct, but fucking dammit.

Watch for the American Right to begin to make claims that by overreacting to and mischaracterizing the Trump immunity decision, critics are causing “unrest”, and then watch for them to use that to justify the things Trump does.

I am reading Hannah Arendt right now and she makes this point. Over and over. With a freakin hammer. There are a LOT OF PEOPLE in the world very eager to pick a group and blame it for their problems, esp when they don't have a strong grasp of where those problems really come from.

Everyone is always afraid to say why people like Trump or Marie Le Pen have some level of popularity and it’s just that there’s a lot of people in the world who believe in racism. You end up with these goofy ass explanations for Trump where it’s NAFTA or shit and it’s like no you know what it is

Originalists just violated the principles & concerns of the Constitution's framers. The framers broke away from a king deemed a tyrant. They profoundly distrusted centralized power. They even considered an executive panel -- rather than a single president -- to not give that much power to 1 man.

So I'm just curious. This whole criminalization of homelessness, so does that mean that these twats are in favor of housing the homeless and providing services then when they are jailed?

I don't want some egghead bureaucrat telling me whether there's poison in the water I drink. Ideally I'd want that decided by a 29yo judge who went to a "biblical law school" and does not believe dinosaurs existed, and then to have that decision reaffirmed six years later by the Supreme Court.
