This is the thing! If we were having this conversation in 2021 or 2022 I’d be totally down to primary Biden but it’s just too late now and the stakes are too high. For a lot of us it’s a timing issue, not a loyalty issue.

One particular piece of "cybersecurity" software by CrowdStrike goes bad, and the world crashes to a halt? 1) a single point of failure for hospitals, airlines, financial systems, etc hardly seems a like form of security, 2) how is such a mega-monopoly in that critical market allowed in the world?

I'm old enough to remember a media that in 1992 treated the defining story of the whole RNC as being the terrifying extremism of Pat Buchanan, who was not the nominee or VP nominee but GHWB's defeated rival. And that was for a level of extremism that Trump or Vance tweet out before breakfast.

Funniest outcome is the Biden campaign continuing exactly like this through the election, one weird blooper/gaffe per day for months, donors gnashing and wailing and giving intemperate anonymous quotes all the while, big newspapers and TV gassing up The New Unifier Trump, and then Biden wins easily.

A local church here in Salem, Oregon just contacted me and asked me to give a presentation on Project 2025. This is why the Trump campaign and the GOP is trying so hard to distance itself from this document produced by people in the vanguard of their movement.

On Chris Hayes podcast with Jamelle Bouie they talked about a possible reason for optimism: Project 2025 seems to have deeply penetrated TikTok. Anecdotally, my 15 yr old mentioned to me all the counselors she works with at camp have been talking about it and what rights they’re worried about losing
