WaPo just being racist and hoping it was Lieu (because of his position of influence, and it helps their narrative) and not following up speaks to why you should take everything they print with a shaker of salt.
WaPo confused Mark Takano with Ted Lieu. Oy. "The House Democrats who said Biden should drop out of the race were Adam Smith of Washington, Jerry Nadler of New York, Mark Takano of California and Joe Morelle of New York." www.nbcnews.com/politics/202...
Four more Democrats in Congress call for Biden to step aside in the 2024 racewww.nbcnews.com The new calls come from lawmakers who hold top Democratic positions on key congressional committees.

France out here proving that actually you can tell the far right to go to hell even when it looks like they’re on track for a big victory are we going to let ourselves be shown up by the French?
French exit poll news and which seems a good sign

It appears that the solidarity shown by the non-fascist parties in France has led to the defeat, at least for today, of the fascists. Specifically, left & center coordinated to support the candidate most likely to defeat the fascists in hundreds of constituencies. There’s a lesson to be learned.

And at the very least, tell everyone you know to stop giving money to the New York Times, a newspaper run by elitist ghouls who want to kill us.
A. G. Sulzberger, New York Times publisher and chairman, is an evil enemy of democracy and the American people. Yank the fucking choke chain on this rabid cur.

The discourse around biden needing more sleep is fully insane. Does no one remember "Executive Time," the thing Trump spent the majority(!) of his schedule on where he would just watch TV and tweet? Dude was categorically unable to fulfill any of the demands of the office and the press barely cared

"Executive Time" fell out of the coverage of Donald Trump in the most incredible way. Nobody writing about his quest to become president again ever mentions the fact that he hated the job when he had it and he couldn't and wouldn't really do it!

Any response which ignores the text of the Chicago DSA statement is shifting the goalposts and playing victim. Just admit you want to punish democrats by forcing them to live under Trump.
So the goal in that statement is not changing course on any policy. It’s stated right in the text that the intent is political disaster, thus electing Trump, who will apparently be better? Like, what’s the end goal here other than punishing people who don’t want Trump elected?

that "don't vote" piece may be the worst guest editorial in the NYT since they let Tom Cotton use the space to call for calling in the military against protesters.

The NYT, the most influential paper in the country, just ran an Op Ed called 'Why I Don't Vote' by a guy who votes. It's that simple. The NYT is a farce. You cannot trust anything they print.
