you are showing me charts of data collected by the government. this is not the same thing as a direct reading of the atmosphere. this is an important point! The rate of change of the CO2 number is increasing, despite the interventions to date. Emissions are accelerating. Same with Methane.

the climate story right now is in a very weird state of flux a) the warming we've priced in is bad and really starting to show itself b) the renewable story is astoundingly good and getting better we are left with "warming is going to get worse but almost certainly not as much as it could have"

Otherwise it's definitely a confusing statement because it's historically incorrect to just call it "air conditioning" since the original patent used the term to add water to a textile factory (unlike most things we consider AC, which remove water). It means "make the air suitable for a purpose"
