Search warrant lays out what the FBI found on defendants’ phones in juror bribery case — including a google search for ‘how did oj Simpson juror get paid’ and ‘jury nullification’
I don't see how people can look at this chart and claim that we are making any progress. I guess this makes me a doomer and my opinion should not be considered, while the whole site tries to figure out why people aren't celebrating all the obvious progress.

you are showing me charts of data collected by the government.
this is not the same thing as a direct reading of the atmosphere. this is an important point!
The rate of change of the CO2 number is increasing, despite the interventions to date. Emissions are accelerating.
Same with Methane.
Unfortunately all the renewable production has induced demand and things keep getting worse. More solar comes with more fossil fuel usage. We can't grow our way out of this problem and technology will not save us.

the climate story right now is in a very weird state of flux
a) the warming we've priced in is bad and really starting to show itself
b) the renewable story is astoundingly good and getting better
we are left with "warming is going to get worse but almost certainly not as much as it could have"
For example (this is from Gemini), when you "view drafts" you're just looking at your prompt run with a different seed, which gives a different answer.
Otherwise it's definitely a confusing statement because it's historically incorrect to just call it "air conditioning" since the original patent used the term to add water to a textile factory (unlike most things we consider AC, which remove water). It means "make the air suitable for a purpose"
thank you to the person who uploaded this part that I need!
