Step 1: demand video monitoring of ballot dropboxes
Step 2: commit massive federal crime on that dropbox on video
Step 3: pray for a pardon from famously loyal potential new president who always rewards supporters???
Meh, getting pinched for a felony, or multiple felonies, is no big for half the electorate these days. Turns out the DC Metro Detention Center was like that wing where Ray Liotta's character went in Goodfellas, their Big House ragu , Oathkeepers brought The Olive Garden Cookbook.
Like I know it's usually just some old guys at the boxes but I'm pretty sure if you did that they would still call the cops and they have all your information. Like, you have to tell them your name and address when you go in. These people would be awful criminals.
ballot drop boxes are usually completely unattended. though most are in places that would have you on video.
it is highly illegal. the kind of highly illegal that there's an actual chance they're going to get a door knock over that tweet
They're also usually covered in "don't do political activity with 50 feet of this box and under no circumstances tamper with the box" to eliminate any defence that you didn't know you were committing a felony
they might not be legal in your state -- they're only in like 30. They're also hotly contested by Republican legislatures and courts because they are so obviously a public good (vote when you want to, at any time!)
oh this is a different thing. you vote ahead of time and drop your ballot off in a giant locked metal box usually outside of a library or whatever. they're talking about flooding one of those
Ballot drop boxes have cameras on them. Or at least they are supposed to.
Ballot boxes at polling stations are under active security. There would be witnesses.
It’s too bad this guy is actually an ex-car salesman from Edmonton who literally lives in his parents basement because is love to hear that he got pinched because of his advocacy of ballot poisoning
