Please ignore our 250-page manifesto entitled "Detailed Plan to Make Life Miserable for Everyone," which we published in print and web versions and distributed widely. we did not really mean that. Our plan is to make life very cheery.

Project 2025 feels a hell of a lot like Rick Scott's absolutely moronic decision to put out a public plan calling for all sorts of conservative dogmatic garbage ahead of the 2022 midterms. A complete unforced error and classic "Kinsey Gaffe."
On Chris Hayes podcast with Jamelle Bouie they talked about a possible reason for optimism: Project 2025 seems to have deeply penetrated TikTok. Anecdotally, my 15 yr old mentioned to me all the counselors she works with at camp have been talking about it and what rights they’re worried about losing

The most powerful thing the opposition to this right wing movement is not be shaken, not amplify, and push them out with unwavering quiet determination in the appropriate circumstances (i.e. voting). Be undeniable to over power their shenanigans.
The fucked up thing is that you saw the right collectively getting ready to move if this guy was a leftist. It doesn’t matter if 10 maniacs in a row are rightwing and they just shrug and move on, they’re getting ready for the one time it’s not.

As soon as we learned that Crooks was a registered Republican it was clear that the assassination attempt was going to be a two-day story.

Since we're on the topic of comparable assassination attempts of prominent politicians, I doubt many remember the attempted assassination of Japan's prime minister Fumio Kishida just a few months after the assassination of Shinzo Abe
The failed assassination attempt on Trump was not important, and the heavy coverage it got was an abdication of journalistic ethics. It would have been important if Trump were killed; it was not important that someone shot at him.

Here's the thing: Trump *is* an authoritarian who wants to destroy democracy. This isn’t a smear, it’s a fact. That Trump got shot doesn’t change the necessity of him being defeated at the ballot box, nor does it absolve him of his past misdeeds.
Multiple things are true about Trump's shootingwww.publicnotice.co Political violence is wrong. And Trump is the candidate of political violence.

Also, why does a media outlet like Global think a cellular and physiological sciences professor's random tweet, however 'offensive', newsworthy? This plays into the polarizing politics and 'cancel culture' that people claim to want an end to.
Regardless of whether you find this a deeply offensive/morally repugnant tweet, I don't see how it constitutes a legitimate threat of violence or violates any law, and on that basis the university has no business investigating. globalnews.ca/news/1062334...

There are 10 democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Six were in the senate at the time of Cannon's appointment vote. Three did not vote at all, two voted against and one (Chris Coons), voted to confirm. Dick Durbin, your current chair, did not vote. Seems fitting.
All working out according to Trump team's game plan as right wing operatives in the legal system continue out maneuver institutional players not in tune with the times we live in. Note there still hasn't been any kind of public accountability for Sen. Democrats who voted to confirm Cannon.
