let this serve as my occasional reminder that even if you think the NYT is consistently outstanding, subscribing to the times to "support journalism" is like giving Harvard thirty bucks to "support education." They don't need your money. Small outlets & independent journalists do.

WaPo and NYT subscriptions gone. 😕As someone who has spent the last 15 years begging people to subscribe to newspapers, it was so hard to pull the trigger. But gonna subscribe to more newsletters and independent outlets. I hope WaPo and NYT earn my subscription back some day.

The NYT Parkinson's "scoop" is even worse than it seems from the headline, bc buried in paragraph 11 the reporters *know* Dr. Connard met with someone other than Biden, and on March 28, 2024 the President's Public Schedule shows Biden was in NYC the whole day

there were legit concerns that came out of the debate! I shared those legit concerns! since then: 1) the polling has stubbornly refused to fall off a cliff 2) Biden has done enough to convince me, and I think convince anyone else who's being fair, that he doesn't have dementia.

Perhaps it’s more due to who I follow but my feed’s an echo chamber of absolute denial. I saw everyone freak out in the debate! People’s concerns aren’t just a product of the media, but their own eyes! Biden’s been inconsistent since then, too. Normie dems are, in fact, worried!
