My first proposal was to order some large proportion of the fleet of federal vehicles to park in the SCOTUS parking lots. Not all crimes are horrible, like assassination. Some are just petty, annoying ways of making it clear how crazy it is to give the President this much power.

It appears that with this immunity decision, the Supreme Court has said we have an elected monarchy and not a republic. So while it is vitally important we not select a bad king in November, it is even more important that we end the current Supreme Court majority.

“Agencies have no special competence in resolving statutory ambiguities. Courts do." So much for the executive branch. If agencies can’t exercise judgment over how to implement the wording of the law, they can’t do anything. Just have the Cabinet report directly to John Roberts.

Chevron famously said, "Judges are not experts in the field, and are not part of either political branch of the Government." Today, Roberts and the other chaos agents on the court say: "Judges are the only experts in any field, and can dictate policy to either political branch of the Gov't"

Exactly. Dem leadership always likes to pretend that their hands are tied when it comes to this sort of thing, and it's always infuriating. The bully pulpit is POWERFUL. Use it!

There are no practical actions that can be taken by people in power to limit the damage of Alito (and Thomas), but politically, they can use hearings and spectacle to deny consent. And that is actually an extremely potent rebuke in a government that runs on popular consent!
