The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel confirms that a Columbus, Ohio, police officer detailed to the RNC shot and killed a homeless Black man (earlier reported to be in his early 20s) more than half a mile from the RNC arena. The man was known by the nickname Jehovah and took care of a pit bull named Isis.

For one, he has spent his entire career misleading people into thinking he grew up in Appalachia and conflating Middletown, where he grew up, by saying it's in "southern Ohio" and that he spent a lot of time with his family in "nearby" Jackson, Kentucky. Jackson is four hours away from Middletown

If you want access to free books, please get a library card. In the US, the more people there are with library cards, the more funding libraries have access to. Libraries provide more than books. They are a community resource. As an author and reader, I support libraries! #books #libraries

Certainty leads to rigidity and complacency, and besides, it’s absurd.

I find Life is just an easier and more honest process when I accept how little little I know about anything. The desire to "know" stuff with certainty leads toward wild and thick illusions.

The Republican line now is that the shooting was caused by Dems saying Trump is a threat to democracy, and they’re doing that because it’s a big and true thing they want Dems to stop saying.
