I can’t believe the Supreme Court just ruled that the president can sleep outdoors in a public space.

Is calling your Democrat Senators and Congress reps asking them to push forward with replacing Biden an effective thing to do?

It is very funny how one of the Supreme Court’s big issues is making it impossible to outlaw bribery because they like being bribed

Polling is broken, has been a long time.
127,000 calls to get 1,059 respondents. These polls are sampling exclusively from people in the 99th percentile of the category “answers spam calls and then stays on the line once it’s abundantly clear it’s a survey firm” and man, if you think that’s a representative demographic…

For me, UVA is the big one. The school was unwilling to use violence on the tiki torch Nazis, even after they surrounded a synagogue and the rabbi was forced to smuggle the Torah scrolls out before Shabbes, and were only fended off by a lone armed veteran from Antifa. But Gaza protestors? Violence.

Getting real sick of establishment Democrats pointing to the stock market, and job numbers, to prove we’re in a “good economy”. Regular people are not experiencing it that way. It isn’t a “feeling”, or “knowledge gap” it is their reality, and Democrats ignore that fact at their peril.

You can call the NC Governor Roy Cooper to demand he make a statement on the legislature's attempt to ban masking. His office is flooded with calls from concerned people about it & can always use more. This is the actual public number to reach his office: (919) 814-2000. I have a 919 number too.

This is what I mean when I say we're looking at the problem at least partially in the wrong way. We're going to have to deal with huge disruption, & instead of thinking about how to cushion people through that, techbros and govts keep looking for ✨technology✨ to solve everything with no effort

A while ago, I searched Google for some information about a medication that a subject was taking. The AI-generated summary told me that it was used for an entirely unrelated condition and included other misinformation. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this shit is going to get people killed.

Reminder: Sure, the student protestors turned out to be right about Vietnam, and gay rights, and apartheid, and the Latin American dirty wars, and the invasion of Iraq -- but *this time* they are cluelessly naive and only protesting to look cool to their friends.

The term "clash" has been emptied of a useful purpose by mainstream media over the years. When you see this term in a headline or article from a major source, it almost always referrs to a more well armed more violent party assualting people who weren't violent or able to defend themselves.

Isn't it interesting that every killing by every cop is just a single bad apple that should never be thought to spoil the bunch, while every protest by and on behalf of marginalized people must be flawlessly perfect, or all participants deserve the brutality the police exist to deliver to them?

I’m not saying if you’re a republican you’re a nazi. But if you’re a nazi, you’re probably a republican. Audacity of rightwing politicians to claim there’s a big problem with antisemitism on the left, they want to see rectified, is pretty jaw-dropping. They won’t even weed it out of their own party

When, oh when will The Boy and The Heron be able to buy and/or stream?! I missed it in the theatres due to family stuff, and this wait is killing me! I can already buy Dune Part Two, which came out like a month ago! TBATH came out in December! I feel like I’m being punished for something.
