as a politics knower I think the democrats should simply do the thing that makes it easiest to win, but also aligns with both all my prior posts and all my most panicked recent posts. this is very simple and obvious.
Like, “informed well thought out rational decisions with risks weighed extensively without panic so we can have more elections indefinitely please, don’t really know what else to say here folks because I can’t keep fucking worrying about this shit, not enough lexapro in the world.” Kind of people
If the Democratic party is not already fully on board with the vague plan I, a person who has never worked in an election campaign ever, just thought up two seconds ago based on a hazy knowledge of this topic, do they even *deserve* to win?
Which is weird.
I watch Beau of the Fifth Column, and he's pretty calming about a lot of stuff. But he has put out a couple videos about some of the ramifications of it, and it's harrowing stuff.
Frankly I am disheartened by all of the criticism I and other members of the press are receiving from members of the Dem core voting demographic. We're just stating what is obvious at this point, just as when we repeatedly let them know about Hillary Clinton's impending death a decade ago.
We can save the country by electing a Democrat in Nov. But not Joe Biden. And his replacement has to be exactly who I have in mind---definitely not anyone else. Why is everyone so stupid and not following my easy plan?
This facetious post ignores and trivializes how the Dem party establishment ridicules, scorns and ostracizes any non-full compliance with whatever direction it chooses for America.
How did Biden win the nomination?
I will be relieved when the discussions about what should be done are complete, and the decisions have been made. Cuz then we'll all just get behind said decisions and never bother mentioning them again.
I also think they should do it immediately, which is the correct time, before any useful knowledge such as the identity of Trump's running mate gets in the way
